Well, we've been hired to work at the Amazon warehouse. Yee Haw :E !! We need to reserve a campsite.

Anyone have a recommendation? There seems to be some that camp in the Fernley area and some go closer to Reno. We think we will stay in the Fernley area but aren't for sure yet but need to reserve ASAP. All opinions welcome. Thanks

When I got hired at Coffeyville the workcamper HR person sent us a list of campgrounds here. Maybe talk to the person in Fernley to see what campgrounds they have. Here we are staying at one that is just a crossed the road from Amazon and from our rig to the entrance is a mile.

We used to live in Sparks and I agree with coneyd, after a long day it would be a very long drive to Sparks. I've read some of the reviews of those that worked a season at Amazon and you will be tired. If the weather is bad that could make it even longer. Stay at Desert Rose and shop at the "nice" Wal Mart in Sparks on your day off.

We stayed at Desert Rose and will be returning there this Fall. We liked it. After a 10 hour shift it was nice to be home in 5 minutes rather than driving 30 miles to Sparks.

Thanks MT, hope our experience there is a positive one. From what I've read on this forum we are going to have to be flexible and tolerant. Got our fingers crossed.

We worked there the past 2 years. We stayed both years in Sparks Marina RV Park. It is the best. Yeah you have to drive back and forth, but there is "nothing" in Fernely to do or see or shop except the nastiest Walmart I was ever in.

Good luck at Amazon.

I checked the RV Park Reviews site and found that one person reviewing the Fernley RV Park worked at Amazon. Check it out.
