First time to fire up water heater on park water and soon discovered wet rugs where water was running from under cabinet ๐Ÿ˜ž
Plastic 1/4 turn PEX valve had failed. No water pressure regulator installed and park pressure was pretty high . Had run water through the hot water tank and faucets with on board pump but not with city water hooked up. Naturally I left my tool box at home so not only had to buy a valve but also side cutters for the PEX clamp,a tubing cutter and a 15/16 inch socket to drain the hot water tank. Everything available at the local Lowes, thank goodness and repairs took about 45 minutes while the better half fixed super ๐Ÿ™‚ Hot showers where had by all !

Had the same valve leaking on my setup. Pry the handle of the valve off. (straight up) Then push the valve body out. There are O-rings around the valve and the one on the end is pushed out. (the little black thing showing in your pic on the valve bottom) Put it back on, re-assemble, and you will have no problems. Takes a small flat screwdriver to pry the handle up, but otherwise is a 'no-tool' fix.

Did I hear you say your next purchase was a water pressure regulator?

I recommend the X65BG. (I have the N55BG that was its predecessor.)
