Depends on your converter.. I will name two

Magnetek 6300.. Remove batteries to safe place (Be sure to mark which lead or leads is which first) and connect to battery tender/minder.

Reason: Magnetek 6300 is a very poorly regulated single stage converter and it WILL destroy your batteries over winter if left connected.

Progressive Dynamics Intella power, Any of them with the Charge Wizard either built in or plugged in (if it is optional) I have a 9180 with optioal wizard.

Go ahead and plug 'em in..

Reason. These top of the line 3-stage converters baby your batteries. In fact once the battery is charged, they go into the same mode as the battery minder/tender products I recommended above.

NOTE: There are many top end converters.... Only a few on the bottom and I only know of one as bad as the 6300.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.
