How long will tv run on invertor ?

Ok the guy I bought my MH from gave me an invertor, I plugged it into the cig plug and it came on, plugged the TV into it and it wouldn't turn on ,,,but I started the coach engine and the tv came on with the invertor, shut the coach off and it stayed on..
Worked fine...so I assume the cig plug is on the cranking battery,,,
Wonder how long this will run the tv before it kills the battery ??
The coach has a switch that IF the battery dies you hit the switch and it will start the engine off the two coach batteries...

There are some numbers we'd have to know to even post a guess
The low voltage cut off on the inverter
The voltage loss (under load) you said it's a plug in so that's going to be high
The amount of battery you have (C/20 or amp hour at 20 hour method rating)
THe Type (MARINE/deep cycle or real Deep Cycle)
THe power needs of the TV
And the state of charge of the batteries

Now plug that into one humugous math equasion and you have your anwwer.

Put from your post it appears that plugged into the Accessory socket. zero seconds.

My much larger inverter is HARD WIRED and can run TV for several hours on my 500_+ amp hour battery bank.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

Probably be easier to find a cig plug that runs off the coach batteries, there is one in the bedroom,, probably one someplace else too

luberhill google is your friend.

You might find the trik-l-start just a bit too small in capacity.

luderhill,

Are the group 27 batteries marine jars? Or are they true deep cycle?

If you wish to leave things as they are I would add an Amp-L-Start between the house bank and the starter battery.

I just checked the outlet comes off the cranking battery.
Then you'll have to adjust my figures for that battery.

Tv= about 100w, that's about 8 amps from batteries.
Batteries about 100ah each (I guess), for total of 200.

You don't want to draw more than 50%, or about 100ah.

100ah/8amp= 12.5 hours

This doesn't include any receivers, external amps or any other 12 devices also running. You said this was from the engine battery, not the deep cycles. So if that's true everything changes.
