So I was a dumb dumb and forgot the water proof cover on one of the bunk ends of the hybrid and one of my kids had an accident. How do I properly clean this mattress and get the pee smell out of it?
It's great on absolutely ANY smell. Has an enzyme eater, smells pleasant, and eliminates all unpleasant smells. Use it in laundry, washing floors, in a spray bottle as an air freshener.
Works on animal and human odors of all sorts. And removes cooking smells and odors.
It's relatively inexpensive, and we go through bottles of this stuff! We have pets and grandkids, both at home and the camper.
Also the pet care line Natures Miracle has a urine removal product. When all else fails you can rent an ozone machine and use it to kill any pesky bacteria.
This is how we cleaned our mattress when our granddaughter had an accident on the sleeper sofa mattress. Works like a charm. Now? We put a mattress cover on.

I should also add to this because many people don't realize... You should remove the mattress from the trailer for cleaning. Using certain chemicals inside especially on or around the floor and permanently damage your low mounted LP leak detector. Glade plugins are also known to do this.
The power of Oxy-clean compels you...But seriously, this stuff is great. Also Clorox makes a pet friendly urine cleaner/disinfectant. As always start with a small area for testing.
