LED Lantern

Someone asked about LED Lanterns recently, and there were very few posts about them.

I wanted one for Christmas and tried a few out. I found that with multiple small LED lights, the output was inconsistent with shadowy areas.

Well, my BIL gave me one that is great. It has a new/different type of LED bulb that puts out like an incandescent. It uses either 4 or 8 D cell batteries. 3 levels brightness.

I bought a 18 volt Ryobi LED lantern from Home Depot. It uses the same 5 amp hour 18 volts batteries as my saw and drill kit. I also have a standard light that is very bright too.

Ryobi also sells a nice LED flashlight and a light with 6 LED's in it that use a smaller rechargable 3.7 volt battery.

I have also seen LED lanterns at Costco and other places.

Fred.

Money can't buy happiness but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a

I have a similar one I purchased at Aldi last summer for ~$16.00 w/chargers.

It runs for ten hours between charges of the lithium battery pack.
