The May 24 weekend as we call it in Canada is the first big weekend for most for camping! Will stated we have already spent 8 nights and had a weekend in April in snow before this.
We have a small crew that attend regularly with our camping adventures and we pool our expertise and do the yearly maintenance of caulking, checking propane lanes, tires and the other common yearly maintenance items.
This year we had a bigger project which a sof floor in the bathrooms of one of the campers so we took on the task of replacing it. The owner thought the shower was leaking or possibly the toilet as the weakest spot was in front of the toilet. After ripping out we discovered it was by the door exiting out of the camper. This camper had a feature we all loved which was a door leading to the outside from the bathroom! Great feature still and it was not the door itself but body moulding to the side that was leaking.
In the end the floor wa rotted bad in front of the door, we ripped out what was gone and replaced. Pictures are attached, thought it would be good for people to see the photos. The floor is made up of qtr inch plywood, 1.5 inch of foam than 1/8 plywood. There is not a lot of bracing so we used tphe frame, aluminum framing than took aluminum L channel to brace the exiting floor and new floor to make the patch.
Hope the pictures fill the gaps in what I left out.
