Overnight stay in California

Some of you may be in a similar situation . . .
We’ve been RV’ing in California’s Gold Country since right after Thanksgiving. Reservations were made prior to the most recent lockdown at The Lakes RV, Black Oak RV, Jackson Rancheria & Vineyard RV. All were multi-day. This trip was made specifically at the request of my daughter-in-law, an A/F nurse recently sent TDY, who was concerned about my son’s (ex-Spec Ops) ability to get to SMF on his own following a traumatic brain injury about a year ago. We will be taking him Thursday.
Our concern was the trip home to Murrieta from Vacaville. The route we take avoids LA and is well over 500 miles. (Can I do it in one day? Yep. Do I want to? Nope.) We always stay overnight at Orange Grove RV east of Bakersfield on 58 our last night out. Would this latest ‘directive’ prohibit a single night’s stop as we were homeward bound?
I just checked the park’s website. Followed up with a phone call to confirm. No problem. If you find yourself in a similar situation, their website is a good place to check.

Imagine if the the entire population of Coeur d'Alene got sick in a single day and 10,000 more in the surrounding area... yup CA had over 61,000 new cases today alone. New record.
Stay safe.

No offense if this post is deleted by the moderator.

Imagine if someone had advanced diabetes, COPD, was morbidly obese for the last 10 years, then picked up Covid 19 and took a dirt nap. Also Imagine if the official death certificate for said person listed cause of death as one of the above afflictions as opposed to Covid 19.If said person could of picked up the general yearly influenza and croaked, what would the official cause of death then be listed as if Covid 19 had never come down the pike?

Never let a perfectly good crisis go to waste.

Breaking -----------------

Alaska Health Worker Had a Serious Allergic Reaction After Pfizer's Vaccine
WASHINGTON — A health care worker in Alaska had a serious allergic reaction after getting Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine Tuesday, symptoms that emerged within minutes and required an overnight hospital stay.

The middle-aged worker had no history of allergies but had an anaphylactic reaction that began 10 minutes after receiving the vaccine at Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska, a hospital official said. She experienced a rash over her face and torso, shortness of breath and an elevated heart rate.

Although the Pfizer vaccine was shown to be safe and about 95% effective in a clinical trial involving 44,000 participants, the Alaska case will likely intensify concerns about possible side effects. Experts described the woman’s symptoms as potentially life-threatening and said that they may prompt calls for tighter guidelines to ensure that recipients are carefully monitored for adverse reactions.
he Alaska woman’s reaction was believed to be similar to the anaphylactic reactions two health workers in Britain experienced after receiving the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine last week. Like her, both recovered.

Those cases are expected to come up Thursday, when FDA scientists are scheduled to meet with the agency’s outside panel of experts to decide whether to recommend that regulators approve Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use.

No mention of how many actually administered so far since the beginning of the week nationwide, but lets run with this story, the doom and gloom, were all gonna die.

First, OP, thank your family member for his service for me. I mean that.
Second, maybe I'm missing the gist of the OP, but I gather he wanted some info about just parking overnight for a rest. Maybe folks in the area could calmly direct the OP to a place?

Good to know just in case. I have stayed there previously.

Who enforces these quarantines, the cops these states are trying to defund, lol? I, and the other drivers at our RV dealership, routinely travel interstate to our other dealerships in Calif and New Mexico to relocate RV's. A trip to Sacramento involves spending two nights in Calif, in different cities, so does that violate the king's quarantine order?

We are never confronted by anyone concerning our travel. Seems to me the quarantines have no teeth and we peons are free to go about our business unmolested.

I thought Admin Mike back in 2009 was the dude. Lol. Everyone gets their panties all bunches up over the riots, election and the virus that they forgot that they humans. Everyone becomes a know it all and turned that civil war clock closer to midnight than the WW3 clock called, Doomsday clock. Even I got bent a little. But, sheep no more! I knew something was wrong when CLM merge with another company and started sending me openings for campground host as I haven't been one since 2014...

Could I interest you in a surplus Russian gas mask or self contained chemical suit?

At least there is one mod on these boards who does not click the close thread button every time Covid is mentioned, like most who think they're moderating a board for 10 yr olds.

And call it a hunch, but I'd be willing to bet that Camping World doesn't want us to stop camping...in the world. Or maybe I'm reading too much into the company name.

Observing the Moderator Posts: As a Moderator you have "free rein" to comment as you see fit without being deleted. The rest of us don't have that advantage. (Old & true cliche - it is what it is!)

For the OP: If things don't go well - easy solution for one night, stay at a truck stop. Find a spot off to one side & the noise will be "tolerable". "Down time" for safety applies to you as well as req'd for the pro drivers. No LEO will fault you for doing same.

BTW - So. CA "native" - have traveled CA for the past 64 years - (when I got my first DL at age 15 1/2). Tents to RVs.

Have a great trip!
Your plan sounds very prudent, and I can't see where anyone in the government should have any rational objection to it.
Maybe the word "rational" is the problem.

I believe the issue is people traveling from out of state need to quarantine 14 days. Orange grove may have requirements that meet state guidelines for the required movement you are making to get the medical help that is needed. I assume this is not a purely recreational sightseeing trip. Restrictions may apply upon arrival and I am sure you have already been made aware. Necessary movement is still allowed with restrictions.

Our Moderator says he/she is located in “The West.” A Californian? Or just attempting to control California and OUR response to Covid-19?

OP, a Californian, asked about the legality of a one night RV stay in California. My response said I didn’t believe it was allowed and I posted the state health department statement and website regarding the issue. The post was deleted because the moderator disagreed with the health department’s position.

Disagree with this moderator on anything....post deleted.

I choose not to share my location. That's my prerogative. As I mentioned above, I often camp in the same county as Bakersfield. Draw any inferences as you choose.

Resident or not, your statement that I quoted is incorrect. Private RV parks aren't currently covered by the restriction that you quoted.

It's funny that you think I'm trying to control Californians, because my hands-off viewpoint is just the opposite. I'd rather see fewer restrictions.

And as for your other assertion, yes, guilty as charged. A LOT of your posts in these forums are deleted. Again, draw your own inferences from this.
