Question for propride/hensley owners: rust

So my TT went through its first winter. It's always raining here and I noticed some rust on my PP even with a cover. A little bit of rust was in the stinger and in some bolts inside the head.

Any tips on how to handle them? For instance, can I spray the stinger with WD40?

Keep my Hensley under a grill cover year around here in the southeast. We do have high humidity at times, but the grill cover is loose enough to let air circulate under it.

My Rustoleum paint job is still holding strong after almost two years.

Read the differences on the manufacturer websites. They are different tools.

THe problem in humid climates is that covers can make things worse. We have very high humidity in the morning year-round. So, yes, I find/found rust on my H/A hitch without a cover. Decided to remove it as an overhead cover would be best (protection from rain, but not from a drying breeze). Once in storage facilitating that (and electrical to run a de-humidifier inside) I re-installed it. It needs to be able to dry out.

I've replaced several rusting items several times. Mainly because I don't like the looks of it. Other more substantial pieces I've re-painted.

I prefer FLUID FILM to something like WD-40 for this job.
