What type and brand of rear view camera should I look at for my 5th wheel? Wired or wireless, I want one on the back of the Trailer and one so I can see the 5th wheel hitch.

RVCAMS.com is one place to start your search.

I bought one of their wireless systems, and it worked great. I know there are now a lot of cheap ones on ebay now...not sure how those work, range-wise.

A few years ago I installed a back-up camera with a monitor that would handle a second camera. The primary camera was installed near the top of my rear window so it would view the hitch and it works pretty well. I hard-wired a second camera on the rear of my 5er using good quality video cable. It worked but not really well. It seems the long run of cable allowed for too much deterioration of the video quality. Total cable length, because I did not cut it to the exact length needed, was probably around 50 ft. I used the highest quality cable I could find locally, but there may have been something better that I wasn't aware of. That may have made a difference. I took it off when we traded trailers and did not re-install it. The back-up camera on the truck is pretty handy. Hope this helps.

This is the one I bought for looking at my 5th wheel connection. A nice truck came with it!

You should get better video quality with a wired system. It does mean one more plug to connect when hitching up.

I don't know what kind of truck you have but consider a new radio for your truck. Like a double din with touch screen. mine has CD and DVD for movies and a rear view camera and smart phone compatability. You could get a rear bed light with camera built in. You can keep an eye on your rig while going down the road..

This would be an example of a system that has lots of options
