How long can water sit in a fresh water tank before it should be sanitized.

I have heard anything from 2 weeks (hot weather), to 30 days...

If you use the "standard" dilution of 1/4 cup bleach per 15 gal of holding tank capacity (~ 50ppm), then it should sit for at least 4 hours. Leaving it sit longer won't hurt anything.

If you use a 100ppm concentration (or 1/2 cup per 15 gal), then at least 1 hour.
