Splendid 2100 XC

I am about to purchase a Splendid 2100 XC but they seem to be out of stock almost everywhere. Does anyone know if they are phasing out this model and coming out with a new one?
I read on one post where someone who ordered a new 5th wheel from the factory had to get the Dometic because the factory couldn't get a Splendid.

Peggy...so sorry to hear about your bad experience. I had a Splendid in my 5th wheel for 12 years and never had any trouble with it moving around. I would suspect the machines had been dropped and they didn't get damaged while secured in the truck..JMHO.
Perhaps you can buy one directly from a Camping World store. They have a special in installation till the end of the year for $39...that's a great deal!

Ed...thanks so much. I checked Camping World today and they seem to have them available for shipping but store inventory is very limited.
I was secretly hoping they were coming out with an even larger capacity drum.

I spoke with Westland Sales in early May and the reason there is no inventory on this model is UL requiring a re-certification of the Splendide Factory in Italy. I was told this would be done by late June and inventory would be shipping again.

I have a 2100XC and love it. I think it is very high quality and works well after 4 years of full time use.

Tweetys RV.com (via Amazon) has them as we just had two of them delivered and refused them, both arrived severely damaged. We gave up. Decided if they couldn't hold up to a ride secured to a pallet, secured in the back of a semi while wrapped in Styrofoam and heavy box that it probably won't hold up to a ride in an RV either. They seem to be poor quality.
