Do not take this as a recommendation, but I have towed my Honda 2001 Accord for, about 10,000 miles so far. I always idle for at least five minutes before towing, run it through the gears and insure that the last gear change is from drive to neutral. I repeat the procedure every 300 miles.

It might be different for later models so this is not a recommendation.

If you go to Remco Towing it says:

2008 Honda Accord EX FWD 2.4L I-4 cyl 5 Speed Automatic M91A/B90A

Notes
โ€ขTowable as is with speed and/or distance restrictions. Please see Owner's Manual for confirmation and procedures.
โ€ขIt is not recommended to tow this vehicle over 65MPH
โ€ขWhen towing for an extended period of time, start the vehicle as often as possible and allow it to run for five minutes to prevent battery drain.
โ€ขOfficially from both Honda and REMCO the vehicle is not towable. However, we at Remco have a large number of customers who are flat-towing that vehicle behind their Motor Home and they are not having any issues. Follow the "Emergency Towing" procedures in the owner's manual to a "T" except ignore the restrictions and follow those procedures each and every time you tow. NOTE: If you choose tow your Honda, and have any damage to the Transmission as a result, you will have to pay for that expense out of pocket. It is nothing that Honda or Remco will warranty. Also, it should be noted that Remco sells no aftermarket product (Lube Pump or otherwise) to make this car towable

So, both Honda and Remco officially say NO, but Remco says they know of people successfully towing it. However, you tow at your own risk. Any damage to transmission or engine from towing is yours to pay for.

Honda states very clearly in the Accord owners manual, the Accord is not designed to be towed by a Motorhome. It should never be towed with all 4 wheels down except in an emergency.

You can tow it on a dolly or a trailer of course.

I have an 03 accord alsoat not towable and am not aware that any accord was ever towable per Honda. Have seen them being towed though. Many Hondas have the same tranny and Honda says some are tolerable and some not. Think.it just there policy and reduces their liability for warranty work.

What does your owner's manual say under "recreational towing" or similar?

Manual transmission or automatic?
