Water Pressure Regulator Re-build

I have a Valterra adjustable water pressure regulatory with gauge. Over the last trip or two (or three?) leak has become worse under the gray cap of the valve assembly. For $50 to $60, not something I consider disposable.

I've searched (Internet, this forum and others) for reference to parts and rebuilding. Came up empty. Anyone with success or resources to parts and instructions? Even if not for the Valterra product, could convince me to buy something else if I knew I could rebuild it down the road.

Thanks in advance.

Very much appreciate the responses.

gbopp, I haven't been able to figure out how to get it apart. The gray "cap" has a surfaces that would seem to allow a wrench to unscrew it, doesn't budge, material of gray cap has some give, doesn't allow wrench to hold on. I've tried prying the gray cap material off, no luck.

ronfisherman, disappointing to hear, was going to call Valterra on Monday.

Chris Bryant, definitely will look into the Watts if I can't get the leak in this one fixed.

Thanks everyone!

When my Valterra regulator stopped regulating properly. I called their offices (818) 898-1671). They did not sell repair parts. Explained that it was a shame to throw away a something because a diaphragm had a hole in it. Asked if she could put me on hold. Returned a few minutes later. Said that she had found one from a returned regulator. Asked for my address. Few days later it arrived. Looked like new. Put regulator back together. It has worked good for 3 years.

Watts makes a huge range, all repairable like this model meant for RV use,

and you can see the repair kits available, as well. I usually go to Lowes and buy a Watts, along with fittings, rather than one specifically for RV use.

I don't have an answer. But, did you take the regulator apart?
Maybe you can fabricate a new seal or washer? I would at least try before buying a new one.
