Where do you park/store your RV when not camping?

We actually have a paved loop in our backyard which makes it easy to camp at home if we want. Where does your rig stay when not on the road?

I pay to store it in a gated RV storage facilty. Pretty basic. Security, dump station, not covered, office on site. It is about 20 miles from my home. That makes it cheaper than storing in the Los Angeles metro area. I live in a town home so I don't have a yard. City dwelling and weekend camping to escape the city. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thankfully I have the luxury of parking it at home. Hoping the new, longer trailer will fit up our driveway though! We have a pretty narrow street and a narrow, steep uphill driveway to back up. Then I have to swing it wide to avoid the carport and get it back behind the house.

With the new trailer we are most likely buying a metal roof carport to store it under.

My 5th wheel is more or less permanently parked at home - Don't even have a way to pull it any more with my Truck - makes for second home and we spend nights in it when we have the chance... Fridge and cabinets are extra storage places for the house. Kids have fun here spending the nights here in it...

My OFF-ROAD POPUP is also kept here at the house and I have a neat camp ground setup in the back yard next to the woods line.

I get to do all of my mods and play with things before going camping on the road...

Spend alot of late afternoons and early evenings sitting around a good ole bond fire in my Camp Backyard....

Fortunate for us the county allows us to park our RV's at home here...

My POPUP trailer being setup for camping off the power grid has been a nice emergency power source for the house whenever we have extended power failures. Just run a couple of extension cords into the house from the trailer to keep things going where needed.

Due to HOA rules I can only have ours home in the driveway for a couple of days when getting ready to leave on a trip. We keep ours in an enclosed 12 x 35 storage unit which works out great.

Park at an indoor RV and boat storage facility. Heated in the winter to 50 degrees so I dont need to winterize which is a huge benefit since I use the RV year round. I drop it off, they wash it, clean inside, empty water tanks, air up tires, run generator weekly, run engine weekly, fill propane and water when picking up, they'll even fill the gas tank. Only thing they dont do is empty waste and grey tanks.

Dealers storage facility about 15 mi. away, normally. We do keep it in the drive for prolonged periods when we will be doing shorter trips and/or have need to to some kind of other prep or repair.

Looks like you have room for seven more. What's holding you back?

EDIT I count eight. Did the DW slip one in on you?

Ours sits in the vacant lot next door. Been trying to buy the lot but can't agree on a price. I keep the lot mowed, to keep the city off of the owners back, so he lets me park there. That agreement isn't in writing, so that's the reason for wanting to buy.

At the house: **Winter Picture, not NORMAL Atlanta weather **

Downtheroad: Impressive, I first thought that had to be a general public storage warehouse.

Not really, what you don't see are the boats and airplanes on the other side of our garage.
