Should the gas(fuel) tank and propane tank be filled prior to putting the camper in storage for the winter?
Thank you:

I fill the gas tank and add Stabil and run the generator. I run the generator each month until its up to temperature. The propane is turned off. We have a wood stove that keeps us warm if/when the power goes off.

old guy,
An excellent suggestions for us living where it does get cold and we can lose power.

I have to add one more thing. I do see you are in Florida and this may or may not be a benefit for you but in the northern states where it can get real cold and the power goes out, you can always go to the tt and start up the furnace to keep warm. that is probably a darn good reason to keep the propane tanks and gas tanks full during the winter.

Exactly what I do.

After I put the StaBil in it and fill the tank, I also drive around for about 15 minutes to make sure it mixes well. I also run the genny after to get the StaBil through the system.

As long as the propane isn't over-filled, empty or full doesn't matter, but since they have propane where I buy gas near home I fill it up before winterizing so it's one less thing to do before heading out next time.

I try to start the gas winterizing process with about 1/3rd of a tank of gas. I then add enough Sta-bil to just slightly over-treat the soon to be full tank of gas. Then I start the generator and run it long enough (under load) to be sure to thoroughly treat the generator. Then I fill the Motorhome with gas and drive home. This ensures the engine is treated too.

I have read that it is good to fill the propane tank at the end of the season prior to winter "storage". I have been doing that since I read that. I believe it is for the same reason that a gas tank should be filled as old guy posted above.

Propane has an indefinate life span.... No need to fill...

Gas? Fuel? You mean gasoline? If for a generator I would run it dry. Then put stabil in.

The new gas with ethanol will destroy the carb IMO...

I run all my stuff dry when storing.
