Anyone use the RV park at Disney world

I plan to be going to Disney world this June with my Class A motorhome. I want to camp it at their RV park. Has anyone stayed there. What doe's it cost. Is there other parks close by and do they have transportation to the park?

Search for threads about Fort Wilderness, and look over sites like Fort Fiends and Disboards.

Disney World's Fort Wilderness is considered by many (myself included) to be one of the best campgrounds in the USA. Price varies with the season.

Coming from Connecticut, and considering what Fort Wilderness offers, I actually don't consider it over priced at all. It is not cheap, but I think you get a lot in return.

When we made reservations, we went through AAA and found it to be very helpful, and got a good discount on one of our trips. Search around a little bit, there always seems to be some sort of deal or promotion going on with Disney.

Ask for a modem and you will have Wi-Fi. It connects to their cable.
Cost includes Disney transportation, fireworks shows, pools, and great fun.

Have stayed there several times over the past years from the 1990's to 2013. Quite expensive, but everything in Disney World is expensive. You can park your camper and not have to drive for your entire stay. There are boats or buses to the different parks and buses within the campground to get around. The bathrooms are clean. We were able to use a modem supplied by the campground for internet access. I believe you had to give a deposit or a credit card number (I don't remember which) but it was returned when the modem was returned at the end of our stay.

You can also rent golf carts to get around the campground as well, but we were okay with using the bus system.

Just left there. Fairly expensive, but is nice and clean. Rates go up on the weekends. No wifi where I was. Short walk to bus stop with transportation to anywhere in Disney World after that. We really enjoyed it. The rates probably reflect the cost of the extensive free transportation system. The buses/boats really make getting into the parks much easier than driving in my opinion.

I watched a coach leave this morning, and within 20 minutes the site had been cleaned with blower and the cement pad was washed to get ready for the next occupant. Trash containers about every 3 sites.

You should try it.

It is named Fort Wilderness and is the best campground we have ever been in. Expensive, but definitely worth every penny.
