I knew Snowflake was getting old so last July I decided to take a new puppy that was dropped off here.... He is a really good dog and has helped me tremendous... His whole personally has changed now that he's head dog... I miss Snowflake more than you can imagine but Pup is lying here now at my feet and it's helping me emotional... There's never been anyone to come back except Frankenstein so I just got to accept that... I really cherish all and everyone who has wrote condolences... Thanks again.

Vet told me today that Snowflake probably died when the blood clot in her hip that was causing her paralysis gave way and caused her to die of a heart attack... At least she didn't just give up on life etc. She fought the long battle until she had no chance.

You can never replace a much loved pet, but you can open your heart and home to one who needs you. Our Creator only made one Sam, but we found room to bring in these 2 babies that have brought their own uniqueness. We love Biscuit and Lily.....and rescue Cubbie and rescue Foxy and rescue Mickey. They're all special in their own way.

I lost Midnight 11 yrs ago and thought I'd die from grief so I got Snowflake and managed to get through it...I got Pup 5 months ago because I knew Snowflake was getting old...I never let Pup be put in 1st place as long as she lived but now Pup is king of the house...He will be loved dearly but can never be loved more than I loved Snowflake or Midnight but JUST AS MUCH. IT SURE DOES HURT THOUGH!

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I had a pug for 17 plus years and as she grew old I realized that I was keeping her here on earth for me, not for her. She was deaf, almost blind and had very few teeth, but I kept her here instead of letting her go and rest for all eternity. After a year went by I decided to look for another dog. I found a one year old Brussels Griffon in the pound in Salt Lake City. The wife and I went to look at this dog and we immediately recognized our lost companion. We adopted this dog and named him Bosco. This was 4 years ago and he never seemed to take to the name of Bosco. However, when we call him our old pugs name he tilts his head, his tail wags, and he runs right to you. Imagine that. I believe that our pugs spirit lives on in Bosco and we could not have a better companion. Once you move on you will love another dog or cat. Not quite the same as before as no one can exactly fill that spot in your heart, but your heart and soul will once again be full.

We lost our precious Maggie a couple weeks ago.......Now we have This sweet Little Summer Girl. Did I replace Maggie, H@ll no, but I did fill an empty spot, and now I'm giving another precious Angel a chance at a very spoiled life.

I will forever remember Maggie, sometimes with tears, sometimes with smiles...
It does get easier....
