1990 Holiday Rambler - Closed Problem Found

A couple in the John Prince park have a 1990 - 1991 HR. As usual in talking to them, they have a problem. Both of them being in there 70's or low 80's need some help. I am willing but before I walk into their coach I need some information.

Problem:
No chassis function inside the coach i.e. Head-lighs, gauges, etc.

What I need to know is 2 things:
1) Is there a battery disconnect switch circuit ?
2) Is there a battery control center box?

My skills in trouble-shooting are excellent, so I would like item 1 and 2 answer before I offer to help. I hate crawling around when someone else may have the answers I need.

Thanks

Battery cable would have been my first guess, unless the owners had gotten to dinking with switches and control panels, which you seemed to suspect.

Anyhow, CONGRATULATIONS! Good Christmas gift for those folks!

EDIT: The Positive/Hot or the Negative/Ground? I'd hate to see'em get a wrench between the Hot and Coach Body because they were working the Hot and hadn't disconnected the Negative.

First, wish to thank everyone for there posts. This made my job easier. The post allowed me to go armed into an unknown camp.

Now you are all wondering what the solution is.........................................................................drum roll please.....................................................................

Ready for this ?????????????????????? A bad..................B+ cable clamp on the battery.

When he tried to start, everything would go dark or shut down.

The clamp had been replaced, but the clamp had become corroded and rusty. So I think he will be happy as soon as he replaces the clamp. I have already prep the cable for him.

Again thanks to everyone.

In my 93 HR DP the chassis battery switch is in the driver side rearmost bay.

I have a 1993 HR Navigator, and my electrical switches are in the electrical bay in the front on the driver's side. This is for the house and some of the chassis.

The main panel for the chassis is under the battery compartment in the rear on the passenger's side.

Yes, there should be a battery disconnect. Switch could be on dash or near the entrance door.
Yes, there should be a battery control center. Location will vary on chassis.
Yes, there should be a 12 volt DC circuit breaker adjacent to the batteries or in the battery control center.

You're right. Anybody trying to help will need lots of info. Apparently "House" electrical functions are OK, it's "Chassis", Right? If so, please obtain at least:

What is this thing? Sounds like it might be a DP. If so...
Chassis Model
Engine Info
Battery Info
Coach Series and Model

There may be more, but this could help get the ball rolling.

Thanks on behalf of these folks, for being willing to help!
