When I turn on my heater the A/C also turn on.
Is a gas furnace. So I have to turn the A/C beaker down.
If I only use the A/C it work fine.
Any ideas.
I think my digital thermostat is damaged ?

I like to run my fan with the heat, my trailer only has one heater outlet. The fan running helps circulate it through out the trailer.

Did you read the Dometic Owners Manual for the thermostat?

Shame on me. No sir I did not. That will help.

Then you've no more need for this non technical thread you started. :W

Frankly, I'd be more than a little embarrassed about it, and would have called the manufacturer for more instructions on it. Waste enough of their time answering the same question, over, and over and over, and they'll realize how poor the design is, and make something better. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

If you have a newer style Dometic Thermostat, push the Mode button so that the FAN position is illuminated. Use the +/- buttons to move the fan to AUTO. Right now, you have it in the Low or High position.

Yes it is a domestic. I will try that and advice the results. Thank you.

Jetcare's instructions should work- this question is asked enough that it almost needs to be a sticky.

Correct, but when in FAN mode, you have the option of HI/LO/AUTO. Pick AUTO. Doug

No heat pump. Just A/C it worked fine for the last 2 seasons, and I did read the owner manual on the A/C

What are the chances of you having a Heat Pump, not just an AC? JH

It's probably the AC fan only, not the compressor. I had the same issue. It was the setting for the fan. It was a little confusing if I recall. But you need to change it to Auto. IMO it is poor logic by the thermostat designer.
Currently RV-less but not done yet.
