Another Disc Brake Question

So, i had the IS and Disc option installed on my Redwood back in June. I have 2 trips with them and am still having a TON of dust build up on the rims.. The first trip was 200 miles round trip, and I just finished a 1200 mile trio down to Florida. I check all my temps at each stop and they all seam to be in sync with each other.

These are my 3 disc options so I am no stranger, but do not recall this much dust .

All 4 wheels are evenly coated, and they look black once I arrive.
The folks at Morryde have told me that they believe it should go away soon, as long as i do not have a pad or caliper hanging. I do not believe that I do, as all my temps are about the same and I assume 1 would be higher if I did.

Should I worry?? Should I stop thinking about it??

First thing I thought of was maybe your controller gain is too high allowing the trailer to do most of the breaking.

Yup. Good call. HD loads are NOT for Ceramic pads.

Next time around I will be looking for US Made Semi Metallic pads. NAPA unfortunately went to Mexico with their top of the line pads.

Not whining, just asking if the amount of dust was normal.. But thanks for taking my question and turning it into a whine in your eyes

They are NOT Ceramic. They call them Ceramic like. read the details. True ceramic is a big mistake for HD applications.

Proper pads are SemiMetallic of HIGH quality as in not the CHINESE POS PADS that they install.

Kevin at Kodiak told me that they did not sell any QUALITY pads because no one wanted to pay the price and to go to NAPA or the like and buy HD SemiMetallic pads.

Whatever. been running EBC CERAMIC pads for a while now and drilled and slotted rotors as well.

Don't know who Kevin is and don't much care. Opinions are like but holes, everyone has one, some stink some don't.

Once I switched to CERAMIC pads, my brake dust issue vanished and I have had ZERO issues with stopping, pad squeal or rotor wear.

Just this afternoon put a set on my wife's Suburban.

I don't concern myself with cost, I get them at cost.

Don't much care if you drill a hole in your floor and jam a stick into the pavement to stop. All I said was, to eliminate brake dust. switch to CERAMIC pads.. Nothing more.

Do what you want to but don't whine about brake dust.

cummins said it all. the dust is just your pads...if you don't like the dust on the wheels just change them out.

Not going away until you switch to ceramic pads. I quit running composite pads on all my vehicles a while ago. Ceramic's don't make the amount of dust composites do. being an EBC dealer, I run EBC pads but any ceramic pad will do.
