Battery powered portable fuel transfer pump

Portable Pump

I PURCHASED this last Saturday
And due to the excessive heat
And have been using it multiple times a day to fuel my pair of champion generators from gas cans
To keep the A/C going

I really like this thing and recommend it
Hard to beat for the $10 price

I have no idea about long term reliability
But in 5 days of use, I may have used it more than some people will, in a whole camping season
No more pouring gas, no more spilling gas,
Much easier and neater then holding and pouring heavy gas cans,
I am going to get some polyvinyl clear hose and extend the output hose 2 or 3 feet

I believe he's referring to the Shaker Siphon I mentioned getting. He is correct. The hose does come Pre-Kinked.

but if you use one of those, you don't get the excitement of split second timing to get the siphon hose out of your mouth just before you get a mouth full of gasoline. 🙂

Ok for distillates like kerosene but not for gasoline. Been there done that. Not so small fire at campsite. Needs to be made of NYLON not polypropylene

Buyer beware.

I threw mine out this year after wrestling with it for four or five years. When it worked, it was great. But about 75% of the time it didn't work. When it didn't work it was due to corrosion in the impeller shaft. Very difficult to lubricate. If I had a new one I would spray the impeller and shaft with spray silicone every couple of months. That might prevent the corrosion. Once the corrosion is in there it is a losing battle.

used one for years. great for filling up riding mower, transferring gas from large container to smaller one, etc. originally got them for kEROSUN HEATERS. daughter uses one for fish/turtle tank.paid closer to $17 however. great price 9.99
also have squeeze bulb model which is a pain but a backup in case batteries die.

Probably 15yr old. I prefer manual because if it's stuffed in a compartment for months, I don't have to worry about if the batteries are dead.

I have use that pump for 3 years, stil working perfectly on the original batteries. Buy a neoprene cork for the outlet.and a rubber chair leg cup for the inlet to keep the bugs out during storage. They can be had for 6 bucks when the price is right on ebay.

I just ordered the newest upgraded version from Amazon. I'm tired of getting gasoline on stuff every time I deal with transferring it from cans into machines.
