The one Ron sent me is a very large rectangular shape and about 1 inch by 1 inch by about 3 inches long. I think it is rated for pretty high current. It has an aluminum body with a hole for mounting to the frame.

Hydrastar has similar. https://www.hydrastarusa.com/products/accessories/controller-adapter-module/
By the description these are primarily for OEM brake controllers for the same issue.

I have the same setup as OP, an 03 Dodge and P3 controller and have experienced the same issue and it was plug connector.
A careful cleaning took care of it.
Love the disk brake setup ! Best thing I did for the camper by far.

I had read about the OEM modules having the issue with an available adapter to resolve it.
Is your P3 set to hydraulic brake type?
Just struck me as odd that you would have this issue.

What pump did they install? I have a Hydrastar pump and will soon have a P3.
What value resistor?
