DIY window fog repair kit - anyone tried it?

Looking for user experience on Dave Root RV Glass Repair DIY kit.

Get a space bag so that you can store your super spacer in it. Need to keep it stored in an airtight bag. Don't want the moisture getting to it.
My super spacer is in a heat sealed bag, once opened it can't be re-sealed unless you tape it closed.

I used the same old $4.00 manual caulking gun that I use for everything else. Now if you're doing 10 windows at the same time, you'll wish you had a power caulking gun. 🙂

Fred knows what he's talking about. I'm out there in Quartzsite getting ready to "de-fog" a number of windows. You can order all you need via the web. No kit needed but It might help some.

There is nothing wrong with using the Dave Root kit, but I believe you can do it much cheaper. All you need is the sealant and the spacer.

If you go to ebay, and put "C.R. LAURENCE 877 CRL Super Spacer Sealant" (without the quotes) into the search box, you will see sources for buying the sealant and will also see sources for buying the spacer. The spacer comes in 1/4 inch and 3/16 inch sizes, so you need to measure the space between the glass on your current window.

It is not technically difficult to do this repair yourself. There are some video's on you tube. I documented my repair in a pdf file that you can get from the link below. Look for the file named "fogged window repair".

He did a write up for our club newsletter so I'll see if I can find the proper one and post a link so you can get it from the horses mouth on the whole process. So far he hasn't complained
