Dometic Brisk Air 2 issue - Rooftop A/C

So I had a pesky squirrel get into my rooftop A/C. In doing so it broke off one of my fan blades. As I was not home when this occurred, I came home to a vibration out of balance machine on my roof! When I removed the cover, the squirrel took off unharmed. I replaced my fan blade without an issue. Here is the issue: now the unit will turn on and run for awhile then for some unknown reason the fan shuts down, the compressor will continue to run then the entire unit will shut down. I can turn the switch off and let if off for awhile then turn it back on and repeat the process. Can anyone tell me if the fan has a circuit breaker or something that I can replace? of course the unit is just outside of its warranty. It almost is like the fan is overheating and shutting down? Can someone please help?
Thank You in advance for your help.

By the time you do that, you could replace the whole unit for a little over $500, at least that's what I found when I was having issues with mine a few weeks ago. There was some kind of big sale going on, check Amazon.

Rob,

Thank you for your response and help. My dometic only has a turn knob style operation on the inside shroud. I think the fan motor is overheating and it is blowing a fuse, circuit breaker, or a capacitor in the unit itself? Im just trying to figure what would control that aspect of the unit and try and replace that part.

Thank You

Tim

I had a problem something like that on my Dometic AC doing all kinds of on an d off cycles. It only did this when I had the thermostat an setting on low speed. (sometimes I like low because its quiet) Dealer said when you put in on cooling it has to be on "auto". Also when on auto and it reaches close to set temp. he fan speed changes, like this, the fan stops, the compressor keeps running for a short moment (I can hear it hum) then the fan comes back on at a lower speed. I thought there was something wrong with it stoping and starting, but after running it a lot with fan on auto I seams fine. The service tec. said they got a memo to tell customers this from Dometic. It doesn't sound right to me but you can't argue with success. I hope this can help Rob
