That is some serious cabling there. Look a little dusty though. Wonder if the electrolyte is up to snuff?

Speaking of a bunch of batteries with a long lifetime ... here's a photo I took of the battery bank down deep in Scotty's Castle:

I do have a question and that is... What company manufactured the flooded cell batteries that were used?

Exide was the original manufacturer of Submarine Batterys back in the day when John Holland (arguably) built the first US submarine. Circa 1900.

The battery that I was a shipmate with on three nuclear submarines was comprised of Gould TLX-53A cells.

The battery cells on the two Diesel Submarines on which I served were also made by Exide or Gould.

Proper terminology suggests that each of those "boxes" is a "cell." 126 cells connected in series comprises a "battery." (A 12V PB acid auto battery has six cells.)

Nuke boats, one battery. Diesel boats two batteries.

We used to call it, "Hopping gravity's.

Interesting, Qualified Battery Charging Electricians were authorized a financial allowance to replace dungarees that had acid caused holes

I was a Qualified Battery Charging Officer, but no such clothing allowance.

Now that we have laid that bare (Champions ate American designed, Chinese built)... My curiosity about where Yamaha's are built is rising....

I guess the Honda devotees cannot now claim 'all built in Japan' 'cause they aren't.
Honda needs to change their slogan from 'You meet the nicest people on a Honda' to... You meet the nicest people in a rickshaw'.

My gosh! It appears that most models are built in foreign countries. Who would have though it? Surprise, surprise.

People keep referring to the Honda superior inrush abilities. PBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLTPBLT (phonetic raspberry). Granted mine was a EU3000is, not a 2000. But it wouldn't start my 13600 A/C on my trailer. The wife was getting ready to divorce me after seeing what I paid for something that would only charge my batteries. Had to put in a hard start kit for it to work. Sorry. No superior inrush abilities. And, there are several new gens that compete on sound level. The market is catching up with Honda and Yamaha. When the faithful realize that, the prices will have to come down.

In my situation, has a lot to do with spendable income. I'm retired ans the difference between a Honda and a Champion or Wen or whatever is substantial and that extra cash can be used elsewhere. It's about prioritizing and being a smart and informed buyer.

Two couples each with around $1,000 to spend on a generator:

Wife says, "I need to use the hair dryer". He says, "Go outside, turn on the Honda, set the choke, and pull the rope. Don't forget the 30/20 amp adapter." She says, "Why is it so loud and why did my hair dryer stop?" He, "Because you were too stupid to turn off the converter and switch the refrigerator to gas before you tried your dryer. Now get back out there and do it all again. Remember, you have to turn off the Honda to reset it. Women!"

Second couple. She, "I need to use my hair dryer". He, "Fine, hit the start button on the remote". She says, "But what about inrush?". He, "You have been reading too many Internet forums. Now dry your hair. Women!"

Nearly twice the usable wattage, RV ready plug, quiet, remote start, but not red. I don't care what color it is. Color is not a feature to me worth paying for.
