just purchased 2001 28 ft Cardinal.
Well opened up bed to check and clean. when we went to pull slide in, it almost fell in once it got 1/2 way in. the frame was not connected to floor or bed frame. not sure where it fastens to.. manual is no help.
it has 2 metal tubes that slide into another. much grinding noise.
what does the slide run on when going in or out.
I did put a 5 1/2 inch support for the center to keep it from falling in. this really helped, but what did it do before. looks like the bedframe screwed to floor, but they are gone.

Likely a Lippert slide mechanism. Tomorrow give Cardinal division a call and ask them. Be sure to have the VIN. I have found tech support to be very helpful on my Cedar Creek.

cant take it back. how would I find out what model the slider is.
also, when It slides out the coach, is there something it slides on like roller, or just plastic bushing. I have corrected the tip in issue. it had snapped off the screws. I wish I could find a manual for it

Kind of a confusing post. I think you would best served to find a mobile RV tech to come and fix it. At leadt enough to get it back to where you bought it.
