Ideas needed for a TV mount

I have a Cedar Creek 30RLBS and it has a very small area for a TV. The space between the wall and the edge of the bedroom door is not wide enough for a large TV as it is only about 26 inches. I have purchased a 42" and a wall mount that pivots 90 degrees so it can be stored vertically when not in use and it wont block the bedroom door. I need to mount the wall bracket in an open space where the TV shelf is. I need suggestions on building some kind of a frame to mount the wall mount to that will hold the weight of the TV which is about 35 lbs. The arm extends about 18 inches and is hinged in the middle at about 9 inches from each end. Fire away. Here is the link to a picture of the TV area beside the bedroom door. Thanks

I would start with two 3/4 inch thick pieces of pretty plywood that fit fairly tightly from front to back and top to bottom on each side of the box. Finding some solid wood to screw into from outside your plywood would be nice. Next, you again tightly fit a 2 by 12 across between the plywood pieces. Once you know the right height and depth for the 2 by 12, box in the back and bottom with some 1" by 1" to hold in the 2X12. Screw and glue the holding pieces into the plywood on each side. After that, put in the 2X12 and then screw pieces on the front of the 2 by 12.

Now you have a solid mounted heavy duty piece of wood to bolt on your TV Mount. Cover up the mounting boards with thin decorative matching trim and it will look great.

Did something very similar in our Titanium 5er and it worked very well. If not travelling maybe you don't need 12" wide material.

Thank you Mike. I will see what I have to screw to that is solid. That sounds like it will work well.

I thought of that but we don't travel much with it. Trailer is on a seasonal site. When the TV is sitting on the shelf, it partially blocks the bedroom door. That is why I have to swivel it 90 degrees when we are not watching it.

Are you asking about the LR TV? Mone is the same deal, except compounding my problem is the LR slide out. Our trailer has a swivel slide shelf. So I just open the shelf and sit the TV in front. For travel, I put the shelf back, lock it in place slide the TV into the hole at an angle secured with a long nylon strap. Travels just fine
