Inverter remote is blank

I have a 2005 Monaco Knight and have had no issues with the inverter in my unit. Up in Denali this week and upon arrival at a RV park, I noticed after hooking up to shore power that the display on the remote for the inverter is blank where it usually shows the charging level. I checked the breakers on the inverter as well as the circuit breaker on the 50amp panel. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I removed the inverter remote from the wall, pulled out the rj plug and put it back in, and that did the trick instantly. Thanks for all of your replies...now we can go on to southern Alaska with one less issue to worry about.

If you have the Magnum ME series inverter, which I believe you do, unplug the phone connector at the inverter, which goes to the remote, and then plug it back in, this may reset your remote. There are 2 of those plugs so get the right one. If that does not do the trick, then follow the reset procedures in this link.

At the Inverter is the remote hook up--- looks like telephone cable connection. Unplug and reinstall and see if that works. There may be 2 such cables. unplug both and reinstall. Doug

Just guessing here, but have you checked to see if there are any wires loose, or broken between the Inverter and the remote?

Does the remote show anything when you weren't hooked up to shore power at the CG?

I could be (and I hope not), that the inverter was damaged by the shore power being when you connected...maybe a ground, reverse polarity, etc?

Good luck.
