I have a problem with a MaxxFan 4000K. When I installed it a couple of years ago and went to use it the lid would reach maximum opening it would still try to keep on opening for another 10-15 seconds and the lid would be bouncing. I an sent info request to MaxxAir and got no response. Recently on my trip south to Arizona the lid started bouncing all be it self and now will not remain closed. Had to tie it down with tie wraps to continue my trip. Have sent another request to MaxxAir, no response. Has anyone else had similar problems and where can you get parts? Should I consider this unit as junk and replace it with a Fantastic vent, have one of those in my motorhome for over 10 years with no trouble. Had trouble years ago with a MaxxAir fan that was installed over a roof vent and never got a reply from them then. It must be their company culture. I will never buy any more MaxxAir junk!!!!!

I've called MaXXair and gotten help easily. May have been before acquired by Airxcel, though. Sometimes the acquiring group "streamilines" things and that friendly service is one of the casualties.
Our coach came with two Fantastic fans. One with powered/automatic lid, the other manual. We like manual better and disabled the lift motor and its little gearbox. Easy to do on the Fantastic, but I don't know about the MaXX.

Amazing that you did not get any thing back from them.

Did you CALL them? From this quote "We're easy to reach, so don't hesitate to call if you have questions or concerns." on their support web site That is exactly what I did and got first rate service.

Not just once but several calls to remedy a problem and they even sent me free parts.
