No shore power Sunset Trail RV

I have no shore power in my RV grrrr. Power at the outside source, found where the outside cord comes into the RV, power there, no power at the other end where line comes to the main 30 amp breaker. I'm thinking there's a short in the line somewhere between where the power comes in and where it comes out to the main breaker. Does that make sense or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

It was an open wire, set up a temporary bypass to check it and sure enough that was it. Now I just have to get the right wiring and pull it through with the old bad wire and reconnect and I'll be back in business. Thanks all for the help!

I think the OP already said he had power inside at the junction box under the fridge but no power at the main circuit breaker inside.

That's correct power at the junction not at the breaker.

open your power plug and check the wiring. I had same type of problem. Spent days checking power boards. traced back to plug. the wires will work loose inside of plug after time from twisting and use. I reconnected with heavy duty lugs. This also cured my phamtom GFI failures.

No I don't have a generator or an inverter. I got it new and have owned it for about six years. Don't know how to post pics.

A short would trip the breaker at the source. I think you should be looking for an open circuit.
Do you have a transfer switch somewhere for a generator?
Do you have a compartment set up for a generator? You may have to plug another cord into an outlet to pass the power on inside the RV. Some are set up like this for a generator to avoid the cost of a transfer switch.
Do you have an inverter installed with a built in transfer switch that may be malfunctioning?

Did you read this post ??????????????????????????????????????
Does the generator supply power ??????????????//
Do you know how everything operates ?
How long have you had this trailer ?

There's a junction box under the fridge where the power comes into the RV, there's power there. It appears that the line from the junction box runs to the main breaker, it's encased in the same orange electrical casing. There's no power where it comes out to the main breaker. So it's dead before it even connects with the breaker.

A picture would be nice but it appears by what I am reading that you have a loose wire nut as others have said or you have got a broken wire. JMO

Looke like you found your problem. It is an open wire between the junction box and the main breaker.

An ohmmeter or continuity tester will show you if there's an open in either the hot or neutral line. And yes, check for burned wires / loose connections where the power cord terminates inside the trailer.

Not a short.. if that were true the pedestal breaker would immediately trip (you hope).

Must be a break in the wire somewhere before the panel.

Check the connections in the panel and breaker area for burned terminals or wire nuts.
