Norcold 1201 LRIM now won't stay lit.

Press the button, a click or two, hear flame start, 5 seconds or so later flame goes out and error message appears. Off for a long weekend of dry camping in the morning. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This in addition to the other 2 problems I posted about earlier. :h

Arrived at Cowichan Bay Thursday afternoon. With help from a couple of members we began to troubleshoot the fridge. No idea why it faults no AC. Everywhere we measured there was 118 volts (from the generator). So Gary says "Let's see why it won't stay lit on gas". Gas lit---and stayed lit! Was fine all weekend!. I suspect it may have been moisture from the wash on Wednesday.

Called the RV Tech--he'll drop around our place on Monday to see what he can see about the AC.

Two good thoughts, and will try those ideas, but I should have mentioned in the beginning that other than the noise problem I mentioned in my previous thread, the fridge ran fine from Tuesday afternoon until late yesterday afternoon when I shut it down to move it to a sloped driveway to load up. It was when I moved it back up to the level spot last night to run the fridge again overnight that I found that it wouldn't stay lit this time.

Don; there is a nice little pile of rust under the burner but the burner itself is clear and burns with a nice even blue flame. When it goes out there is no warning flicker, it's like the valve was suddenly switched off. I'll vac it out anyway.

Now I'll fire up the generator and see if it will run on AC. Boondocking with a group through Sunday so I may have to run the generator more that I would like. The fridge draws too much on AC to use the inverter and the GCs for any length of time.

I'm out of here is an hour or so. Wish me luck!

Hi,

Try using compressed air to blow out the burner/chimney. It is likely fully of rust, too.

First thing to check is the tube that runs from your gas valve into the tank. Spider webs will restrict gas flow
