Rand McNally 7725 GPS--like it?

I should have posted before jumping to the camping world sale, but I ordered the unit. OK--now tell me if I should quickly return it, or is it good? The only post I found said they didn't like it.

Are the new ones good? Thanks folks, Mark

My 7710 was sluggish until I got the updates.
I do not know how many people reporting problems never did the updates.

Yeah--I read them, thanks. As I now recall they were a few months ago, and I'm wondering if anyone has a brand new one that has the problems corrected.

And I am thinking of not even opening the box when I get it based upon what I read! It appears several people like the Garmin 760?

I have a 5510 smaller screen and the thing keeps freezing up. you have a long reboot time on it. So I'm asking santa for something better!

There was a major up date to the firmware and software on my 7710.
I have had no issues with it!
You must have seen it on the internet! So it must be true!

My understanding is the reason they came up with the newer model (7725) so fast was the older model (7710) had so many serious issues, freezing, crashing, bricking (as in dying for real), etc.

I would avoid the 7710

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

We almost bought one but checked with them and they do not have Mexico maps available for that unit. That was the deal breaker for us.

I have a 7710 with updates installed. I like it much better then the Garmins we have.
I would look at these specials direct from Dand McNally
