RV damage and repair fix help

Hey how is everyone? I recently bought a 2021 Coachmen Leprechaun Model 260DS. Past week there was an issue caused by negligence and I caused some damage. Curious if anyone has any advice on how I could possibly repair some of the parts, or if I would just be better of replacing/going to a body shop.

I appreciate any help or advice moving forward.

Last question is regarding my difficulty finding the replacement panel for the propane tank area. Anyone have any recommendations on a website? I've contacted the dealer it seems like it would be a 2-4 week wait for a unpainted piece.

Body shops have told me they would not be able to work on the panel has it is aluminum and the center piece is hallow. With that said at this point I'm leaning more toward just replacing the part, in the mean time I have nothing to lose by trying to straighten it using a wood block and rubber hammer.

Not silly at all,if you are replacing the lid that you had in the picture. No need to measure at all.The opening on them are all the same and the replacement lid will fit. The only thing to worry about is to get the right hinge type by using the picture on the list posted.

All good information so far I think,as for the vent cover that is an easy one.

First see what type vent lid you have using this

For long lasting vent covers Polycarbonate ones are the ones you want.

If you haven't done this before Here is a short video that will help you.

You may need a new seal that goes on the metal edge this will make it a tight seal This is what you need

Replace like this

Maxx Air covers are also a good Idea, mine have been on for 9 years and look good as new.

private body shop never the dealer, most likely the dealer will sub it out.

The OP did not say neighbor. He said negligence.

You said the issue was caused by a neighbor. I Gather said neighbor hit you while you were parked. In most states this costs you NOTHING if you go to a Body Shop as said neighbor has to pay for the repairs (Same as if he hit your house) so I'd say get it done professionally.
Home was where I park it. but alas the.

As BFL13 Says the vent cover is easy. I can't tell from the picture, but the lever that raises it may just have popped out of the track attached to the actual plastic cover.
The compartment door. Remove the two screws in the ends of the hinge and slide the door off. Try to flatten it out, use a block of wood to smooth out the edge trim, touch up paint if needed. If you are not comfortable doing this take the door only to your local body shop.

The roof vent cover is easy, just buy the parts (there are different models of those, so get the right one.)--before it rains!

The bent door can be bent back so it closes again. Might leave a wrinkle or two, but who cares? If you have insurance for that, use it. Then get the whole thing done, frame and all.

What damage? One thing is if you hand it in for them to fix it, you will not have the Rv for a long time, so no camping. If you can fix it yourself and keep camping with it as required, that can be good.

It is mostly about money and insurance though.

also this time of year until it warms up next year it will be too cold out to use some of the glues/tapes/paint you might need. "They " have heated indoor shops.

Damage is to the dome on the top of the roof and the door for the side pod is bent. I was attempting to post photos but I am having difficulties posting them here.

Damage is strictly just bent pod covers and dome lid on the roof.
