Surge Protection

I have a 2011 Class A DP motor home.
It has a hard mounted Surge Guard 34560
Surge Protection.
Question; Is this sufficient to protect the electronics in the MH, or
Is additional protection needed?

Let's put it this way: It is what I used.

Now.. under some conditions NOTHIGN, and I mean NOTHING will protect However the odds of those conditions are precisely equal to your odds of being hit by lightening (As those are the conditions).

TheSurge Guard 34560 is one of two I recommend.. In the old days the other one had a better warranty but when Southwire bought out TRC.. they matched the other's warranty. So ... Good product.

Most damage may be from low voltage events. I prefer an autoformer to fix that.

I had the same 50 amp in my Prevost and it was an excellent system. There is no reason to replace it or upgrade it assuming it's working properly.

Looks good to me, protects against mild surges and disconnects on surge, low or high voltage, missing ground, or power on neutral. That covers all the conditions that should be dangerous to you or the electronics in your RV other than the things you can't really protect against like lightning strikes. If you're really worried pull the cord during electrical storms and run on 12V or generator.
