Found out last night you cant buy denatured alcohol anymore in my area. Even amazon wont ship it.

Acetone seems so strong. Go with IPA instead? Or maybe a cleaner like SPRAY 9?

The instructions say to use mineral spirits and it does a good job without breaking it down. You can then go right over the area with more Dicor.

Yes, that paint thinner would be mineral spirits.

Dicor has a couple videos on YouTube. They recommended denatured alcohol for final prep.

I love the stuff for applying silicone caulking. Guess will have to switch over to IPA.

Whoa! Go to the nearest pharmacy and buy isopropyl alcohol. Get the 91% not the 70% alcohol. Denatured (ie, 95% ethyl alcohol 5% gasoline) even if available is a bad idea for rubber roofs anyway. Every pharmacy carries isopropyl alcohol. It is sold as rubbing alcohol and for sterilization of medical equipment.
