Wireless rear camera

I bought a wireless rear camera set up to continuous monitor the Wrangler we tow. This as done when the old unit died and the RV dealer added a unit that will only come on when the MH is in reverse. I am OK with that, but I would like to see the Jeep on demand.
I have the camera mounted and power from running lights on the coach. Then I discover that one of the wireless sending units is different from the other. I cannot tell which one hooks to the camera and which to the monitor. I fear I will do a bunch of work and it will not work. I need some help.

The ones I have look very similar to the one shown her as far as the sending units go
As you can see, one of the units has a single wire and the other has two. (outside of the power supply wires) Does it make any difference which of these the camera is connected to? Brief question, but I hope you see what I am talking about

The transmitter plugs to the camera. It has two connectors because the transmitter supplies power to the camera and receives the video signal to be transmitted. The power should be red and the video should be yellow, but I saw some on Ebay that had black connectors.

There are examples in the Ebay link you posted.

Have you tried to modify the dealer installation so you can power the unit at will instead of powering it only from a reverse gear selector mode? Find a wiring schematic for your hard wired unit and go from there, no need for an additional setup.

Try this. Get two vehicles side by side, and connect what you think is the camera sending unit to one battery and what you think is the receiver for the screen to the other battery. Do temporary connections. If it does not work just switch the sending receiver units and see what happens. Then mark units for permanent installation.
