Likes and dislikes? Please elaborate. The last shock absorbers I purchased was 14-years ago. Maybe things have changed?

wolfe10,

What would you recommend for a 28'5" class C E-450 176" wheel base which weighs in at 13,600 pounds. I want it to ride much less harshly, particularly on washboard roads.
Regards, Don
My ride is a 28 foot Class C, 256 watts solar, 556 amp-hours of Telcom jars, 3000 watt Magnum hybrid inverter, Sola Basic Autoformer, Microair Easy Start.

Love the Bilstein's I recently put on our 24' Class C. Based upon their recommendation I went with the heavy duty models as we frequently run near GVWR and or tow my Harley. The improvement in ride and handling are off the chart.

I went with Fox 2.0 over Bilstein based on recommendations on the Duramax forums and conversations with several vendors. Very happy with the results. That being said, we run Bilstein on my wife's Frontier and it handles really well with them. Probably can't go wrong with either brand and Bilstein has the better warranty.

No one shock company makes the best shock for all applications.

Said another way, I like Bilsteins on some applications, Koni FSD's on others.

What vehicle are you shopping for? Looking more for comfort or handling/performance?

Put bills on my truck at 100k and it made no change. OEM must be really good or ....
Next set for the truck will be KYB Monomax. I absolutely loved these (KYB gas-a-just)on my old 1970 Mach 1

I love my KYB Gas A Just.

They ride firm, perhaps too firm for some.

The non 'Gas a Just' KYBs are not the same, but are often lumped together.

KYB Gas-A-Just are half the price of Bilsteins.

Bilsteins as well. put them on my 04 silverado at about 10K miles after 150K miles still fine. Stock shocks were valved for comfort and unloaded ride, not towing, Bilsteins rode as well unloaded and way way better towing.
When we got a 2015 Denali, Bilsteins when on at about 500 miles, as soon as I could get them ordered.

Also run Bilsteins on both my mercedes, with excellent results.
