What did you do to your truck today?

I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....

Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.

This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

This topic needs rejuvenation so here's what I did to our Camper yesterday. I built a Bicycle Carrier using Yakima RPL BOA Wheel Trays and Yakima BLOCKHEAD mounts. I have seen similar setups in the past and decided we needed to find a good way to carry our Bicycles on our Eagle Cap 950.
Hopefully, the photos show my system adequately

I had the radiator flushed on my 2011 F350 diesel, it was due. Last year I added the ford additive to extend the coolant life and when I tested it this year the protection wasn't going to be there for cold weather or heavy towing. I will be towing the horse trailer with the TC in the bed next week in hot temps so I figured now was the time to get it done

Thanks! I'll have to see if they have something for my 2001 Ram.

I'm sure they do. They have one of those what I call 'finder' pages on their website where you put in the year, make and model and then it lists all the available LED lamps for it.

Next up will be my fog lights on my Powerstroke. They have some nice LED auxillary lamps. I put a set on one of my farm tractors and I can see all the way across a field with them. Not advisable for the highway but nice for farming.

Installed LED headlights on my 350 Ford. What a difference in light output from the Halogens. Should have done that a long time ago. Amazing and the current draw is half what the Halogens were.

Where did you get the LEDs for your headlights? Thanks!

Not sure if I can link it but....

www.superbrightLEDs.com

$100.00 delivered. Plug and Play. I did have to cut about half an inch off the plastic retainer ring to clear the heat sink on the back of the LRD bulb bit no biggie. They come with everything including the drivers. I've been upgrading everything to LED's on my RV and truck for a while now, Should have done the headlights first however.

The kit I bought has the capability to change the color temperature from amber to blur to white. I left them white. I find the blue tinted headlights to be irritating when coming towards me at night and I didn't want to be irritating other drivers.

The kit is CAN BUS so if you have the 'bulb out' display on your dash, it interfaces with it. IP67 25 watt input, Luxeon ZES chipped with SMD LEDS, 30,000 hour life

Took about 30 minutes to install total.

Stock number is: 9007 HLV5.

Been buying from Superbright for a while now. I replaced all my T8 shop lights with LED tubes last year, they made a huge difference as well.

They have an 866 toll free number too: 866-590-3533

They are guaranteed. I have not had one failure from any of their products to date.

Next I have to replace a leaking rear hub seal, my backing plate is wet. Waiting for the driver to come in for the 10.25 Corporate (Dana 80) rear. Not a hard job, just messy.

I'm slowly switching everything over to LED on the truck. My TC is already all LED.

Removed and replaced stock shocks with Rancho 9000. Replaced both fuel filters.

After I recover from rolling around underneath the truck I might give her a bath.

Yesterday I hosed it off in preparation to detail it... Then the rains hit for the rest of the day! Saved from working. Today I'll just wash the windows and leave on my little trip...

Before we went out west in June I put on Power Stop Brakes all around.

I don't notice a huge difference on the flats or around town (although it is better than stock) but in the mountains the difference is amazing. I'd buy them again.

I put Power Stop brakes on all four wheels last year when I went to 19.5 tires. They work great for me in town and out on the road.

Took my TC off the truck and dropped my B&W Companion 5er hitch in. Getting ready for a trip where we will stay in one place for a few days.
