1997 Fleetwood Caribou 12 ft

Does anyone have the specs for a 1997 Fleetwood Caribou 12 ft TC? I am most interested in the weight and if a F250 super duty could handle the weight safely. I know a F350 or so would be ideal but will a F250 be safe?

That camper belongs on a dually only.
My 2003 Fleetwood 11X was nearly 12' long. It weighed a bit over 4,000 pounds loaded for a trip. I had my family of five with me in the Chevy dually truck. We tipped the scales at about 13,000 pounds.
Unless you pack incredibly light and take no passengers I wouldn't even entertain putting that on a F250.

Loaded my camper weighs 3960 lbs and I'm happy with how well my 2500HD handles it.

I really wouldn't want it to weigh any more than it does.

What body style and engine is your F-250?

I do own 2002 model, with slide and winterized it show 4300 lb.
6500lb coming back from long vacations.
Even when no slide might be 200 lb lighter, don't even touch it with SRW.

I’ve heard they weigh 4000+ lbs, but you don’t know how much it weighs without going to a scale. If that is true, it’s too much for most F250s.

I estimate 3,500 pounds dry...4,300 wet and loaded.

Depends on the F250. F250s are not all the same. Payload is? Weight of the TC? What weight will be in the cab?
