Is anyone using a rear block lift kit on a ford f350 dually?
I have upper and lower stable loads and still have a little sag. I was thinking I could put a block lift kit on the rear axel and get the ride height back to level. I realize when unloaded it won't be level again, but it is worth it when loaded.

Your suspension and u-joints would not appreciate a bigger block with the load.

Ditch the lower overloads and get airbags.

Yes you can change your username, but it takes an admin and different sites have different rules for allowing changes.

I now have a 2013 ford cc dually 4X4. Yes it has a factory block on it now.
I was wondering about increasing its size

On my 03 F250 I had a 4" lift. The rear was lifted using a 3" block out of a F450. I had no issues with axle wrap but I wouldn't go any taller with a block.

If it was my truck I would add bags or add a 1.5 add a leaf to the pack.

Everyone has different solutions, go with what you want.

I'd use Supersprings for your application.
I have them on my truck, the best mod for carrying the weight. I'll likely skip Airbags next truck.

First, since you have a F350 Dually, are we to assume, based on your signature that you have a 97 model with the diesel? This makes a difference. I am only familiar with the Superduty (99-2010) models.

The Superduty incorporates a factory 3 5/8" block in the later models, and a 1 7/8" block in the 99 model and F250's and Excursions. Does your F-350 have any block now?

On my 2002 F350, I have the upper Stable Loads which was fine until I added a superhitch, and decided to tow a small ATV trailer. Due to the leverage, and tongue weight, I then added Air Bags. I only add enough air to level the truck, and make sure I do not dis-engage the bump stops of the Stable Loads. If you have the upper overloads, I have known a few guys that have doubled up the upper overloads to help level and not go to airbags. That is an option without going to blocks.

Air bags are for those needing to lift the rear of the truck when towing and want to lower it back to level later. For hauling the best solution is SuperSprings which add to the factory leaf springs to increase capacity when needed and are not in effect when the bed is empty.

Just as Bedlam said the block create increased leverage between the springs and axle, and airbags do not.

The additional leverage increased axle wrap while accelerating and decelerating, neither of which are good and can effect traction.

Blocking up your axle puts more leverage on the springs when under power and causes spring wrap. This results in more extreme u-joint angles which will cause premature wear and failure.

Lift blocks are not the correct way to solve the problem.

I would ditch the lower overloads, they are a poor design which is hard on springs, and install airbags. At that much weight the airbags will do much better than lower overloads.
