Got it, but that is a 6.0L badge! :B

That truck is a great find with the best diesel Ford has ever put into their trucks.

That is because there is no smog junk on it

He put the 6.0 badges on it so nobody would try to buy or steal it from him. They see it's got a 6.0, and move on.

That's a good one! :B

was no way of telling the folks that it was diesel when it wasn't running, soooo i put on a powerstroke badge.
gets comments now!!!

No itโ€™s not, canโ€™t be. I havenโ€™t heard it run, youโ€™re lying!
(Do I sound like any of the other dingleberry pessimists in this thread?)

JK man, nice, last of its kind, rig. And a great find.
I still maintain, if 1 of the big 3 just put out a HD suv, gas and diesel option for a few short years again, they would absolutely clean house with profits.

This was our 03 7.3 X ....was the wife's ride. Loved that rig.

Never towed more than 10k with it as I always had a F350 handy at the time for the heavier loads.

One of the few rigs I truly regret selling.

Looks like a jewel... Last Saturday I was coming back from Matagorda bay from fishing passing thru a small town and there was a Excursion with the same color parked in front of someone's house with a "For Sale" sign on it. I sure was tempted to stop and ask what were they selling it for, but the problem is my wife doesn't like driving large vehicles. In addition I would prefer to have one with a 6.0PSD and a coil spring/large swing arm suspension like the current Super Duty's have.

I wish that is a better picture. My 2000 F-350's badge on the door is black with silver lettering and under the word power stroke is red. The exhaust tip on this looks slated or hash cut so that tells me it is a 7.3. The 6.0's were straight. My F-350 has the same rims as in the picture

Had both a 2000 7.3 PSD Excursion and 2003 6.0 PSD Excursion and sold the 2003 in late 2007 and picked up the 2002 8.1 3500 Express van in March 2008 in Dallas Texas. Prefer the 155" WB 3500 van for the extra space for up to 12 passengers and luggage space behind the last seat.

People tend to claim that the Excursion with the diesel is the best towing SUV ever. My 2002 2500 Suburban with the 8.1 liter engine has a higher cargo capacity and a higher tow rating than that Excursion. While the diesel is a plus the ratings are a minus IMO.

I agree, and essentially why I chose the burb over the X in 2001...after spending too much time reading on here about ratings, I wanted the highest GVWR and GCWR I could get. Also the torsion bar front suspension makes for a smoother ride than the solid axle on the Ford. I had no desire for a diesel at the time, but in hindsight the 7.3 might have been a good choice.
To me the Burb rides better but I prefer the Excursion for towing. Both are solid proven performer's. Company truck was a 8.1 with the Allison.

They didnt make a 6.0 in 2000

You cannot tell the year by the picture, but you can see a 6.0 emblem in the picture. Something is rotten in Denmark!

Don't think in 2000, or any year, there were any diesel emblems. I would speculate a previous owner stuck them on.

7.3 emblems have a black background

6.0 emblems have a chrome background.

Or even someone could have replaced the door, Superduty's and Excursions are interchangeable. Doesn't really mater.
