2006 F250 Gauge Cluster Question

Hey I just bought a 06 F250 King Ranch and the information center on the gauge cluster just shows the current odometer reading. When I press the information button that is supposed to toggle between trip mileage and avg mpg just the odometer shows. This truck was vandalized (bought from auction) so I am wondering does it have a lower model cluster so I am asking are all the clusters different between XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, etc and I have the wrong one installed or maybe there is an issues with my information center. Thanks

Check to make sure that the wire is connected to the back of the buttons. I had my dash apart last year when I put a new radio in and forgot those wires when I put it back together. Didn't figure it out until a week later when I went to reset the ODO.

This sounds like the King Ranch package (I think). So is your background white or tan (bronze)?

I want the truck to be as original equipped as it came from the factory. Someone obviously put in a different gauge cluster.

If you are intent on having enhanced information, a cheap way to get it would be to mount an Android phone or notebook on your dash and purchase and install an app like Torque Pro. Also buy an ODBII Diagnostic Scanner that can talk to the Android device via Bluetooth. I did that setup on less then $100 and have more gauges then I will ever need, If interested, there is lots of info and Google is your friend.

I bought a $35 Android notepad at Best Buy and a $20 bluetooth scanner made by VeePeak, and cabled the notepad to a USB charging cable. Very happy with the the results but you will spend some time setting it up and you will need some basic technical knowledge.

Thanks so much. They aren't sure what the background color is for a King Ranch but they can sell me a programmed gauge cluster that will work with this.

I believe the Info Center was an option on lower XL and XLT trims.
