2014 Ram 3500 SB tiedowns

Hello - planning on pulling the trigger on a 2014 Ram 3500 tomorrow to replace my 99. The last thing I'm checking is tiedowns. Both the big names in tiedowns stop at 2013 in the application catalog - I thought 2014 was the same as the 2013 but figured I better ask here. What is everyone using on their 2014 Rams for tiedowns? Thanks in advance

I have a 2013 Ram 3500. I don't think there are any significant changes between the two years. I went with Torklift Tie Downs and love them.

I just got a new set of the aluminum Torklift Talons. I'll be using them the next time I go out.

I also added the TorkLift to my 2014 Ram 3500, 4 door, 4x4. No issues with the frame mounts. I have the wheel well to wheel well factory running boards, so I did have modify the slide in piece...cut it in two pieces, welded a short drop down in it. Works great.

I've got them on my 2014 Crew 3500 SRW 4wd.

I have the 2014 2500 lb, so not the same as your truck, but I did contact both Toklift and Happi Jac and there were no tiedowns yet for my truck. Tork Lift was the better response I got. They said that the were never given a truck to test out tiedowns on, so nothing approved yet.

I ended up using my old Happi Jac rear tiedowns with no problem and making my own front tie downs that attach to the tubular truck frame like Tork Lifts do. I used this setup successfully for the 4200 miles trip this summer to Durango and Yellowstone from Alabama with no problems. However, when they do come out with tiedowns that fit my truck, I will rplace my homemade ones.

I used the Torklift tie downs on my 2014 3500 long bed crew cab. One side went on okay but the other side was a bear and modifications had to be made. I didn't do the install so I can't remember which.

Yeah - I work on the University campus and am already pushing the envelope of parking with a SB. A LB would cause me to have to park in Timbuktu. Am pretty sure the guy who striped the spots on campus drives a Prius or Smart car.

The 14 3500's are still the old leaf springs. Am hoping the 3500's are unchanged year to year.

I feel your pain. The parking garage I have to park in (they moved us down here last summer) is full of Hondas and Toyotas. My truck sticks out way past all those. :C

Torklift is great at tech support. Give them a call. Also ask if the stable loads fit your truck.

not sure on the 3500 but just bought a 2500 and for 2014 they went to a 4 link with coil suspension so very much different than the 2013.

Just make a call to Tork-Lift and they will confirm that the 2013 will work on the 2014.

I agree 805gregg, unless there is some reason you want the short bed, a long bed will give you more options when you decide to upgrade. At least you are being smart enough to go for the one ton.

Not my rig, but just do watch for where your tie downs go relative to where your gas cap is.

It's just not really nice, but most truck folk have not realized that putting that gas cap back about 9 inches would sure save a lot of grief on the truck camper forum.
