Pulling the trigger today on a new (2015) 2015 Jayco White Hawk 23MBH. I have a family of four and downsizing from a 30 foot TT, hoping I am not in for a shock on the lack of storage and space. Looking forward to some of the nice options like bumper grill, electric awning, power jack, frame-less windows. Anyone have any suggestions or warnings before I dive into this model??

Thanks!

So I purchased the 2015 Jayco White Hawk 23MBH and I have camped with twice now. Love it! Very comfortable (especially the bed) and it has ample storage and is great for the family. I would recommend to anyone who is considering one.

@Samhain, fair question on why downsize with a family of four. My current camper has some issues and we decided to get something new. My oldest child is now 15 years old and I fear in another couple of years we may have fewer and fewer trips with all 4 of us. I didn't want to buy a 30 footer with double sized bunks and take up a lot of space we may not use in a couple of years. I am also expecting if we are not using one of the beds eventually that would help with the lack of storage. We will see if my plans work out....

Okay, look at my sig for a 40' Jayco that has 9000 miles on it so far. First those bumper grills, I don't know who thought that one up but they don't grill! I had mine moved to the front on the awning side because it rains and why am I going to the rear bumper? Frameless windows let in more breeze then I thought they are nice but be careful when washing as the do get water spots easily. The mattress was ok but as always (no matter what manufacturer you buy) you buy a wonderful trailer and they give you a bag of straw for a mattress. We snowbird so we always ungrade to a good residential mattress. In my new trailer I have to life the bed up,bring in the slide then lower on to the dresser because of it length but it is worth it. Did the custom king for our last TT but it was 1000 bucks this is better.
We have owned 4 jaycos in the last 20 years and the dealership in Tawas Michigan (Jays RV) or their other store in Alpena Michigan are nothing less then family to us and the TTs and the service unreal. Good luck!

It must be time to go, the suns out and I've got a full tank of diesel!
We have a granite fireplace hearth! Love to be a little different.

I'd have big reservations about storage space. We looked at that model when we were searching for a new TT and wouldn't consider it for just the two of us. You'll be traveling with 4 people, and the storage space is so small, so you will end up having a lot of stuff in your truck bed. Just look at what gear you currently stow in your 30' trailer and determine how much of that you need to carry in the new trailer. Where will you go with it in the trailer you are considering.

Have you looked at a Minnie 2451BHS? You'd be giving up the sofa, but gain storage space. Or, look at other trailer brands that give you a pass through storage area in the front of the trailer. I know there are other trailer models using the Murphy bed concept but I don't know whether they have more storage space.

I always hate being negative, but I really think you should do a little more shopping and evaluation of what you need. I don't have a problem with downsizing.....you don't need a big trailer to enjoy camping/rving, but even when we were camping with our two sons in a pop-up, we had more storage space than the Jayco 23MBH.

Just my opinion....but good luck on what ever you decide to do and enjoy!!

The bed is a 60 x 80 Denver mattress, residential grade. I'm sure out will be great!

I ask this strictly out of curiosity...
Family of four and you are downsizing? How come?
Final notice from MasterCard. Good! I'm sick of hearing from them.

nice looking trailer. We are looking to possibly downsize in the future and have the same concerns for storage. My only question on your layout is how comfy the murphy bed will be. Enjoy!
