Sounds like the Ram HO is not torque limited like the GM trucks in 1st gear.

I believe the newest marketing is that the new GM is not using torque management in any gear.

And these advancements bright to you by your friendly local Goodyear and Michelin dealers!!

Still not as impressive as Ford's new hill decent/grade braking. Shift to first from any speed. :B

I think it's safe to say if RAM is not limiting 1st gear they are not limiting the other 5.

I think that's a safe assumption.

This video is obviously weeks after the initial reveal. "Mr Truck" can't think of asking the engineer why they chose the cp4? Maybe it will come up when they can talk about driving them.

The same reason why they went with a CP3 common rail over the P-pump or VP-44. Emissions.

The CP3 is not capable of pressurizing the fuel as high as the CP4. As I said several months ago, Cummins will have to go to a CP4 pump to increase its power output and meet emissions because you will need pressure in excess of 29k psi to do both at the same time. They can increase power with the CP3 since it can easily handle up to around 650 rwhp in the 6.7L, but you cannot do that and meet emissions.

I hope nobody tries to go full tilt alot with 1,000 lb-ft at their disposal unless they want to be good friends with their local tire shop. My level 2 daily driving tune is about 950 lb-ft at the wheels(@ 1090 at the crank) with torque limiting reduced and it will roast them if I floor it from a dead stop. It even overpowers my torsen limited slip for a few seconds until it finally grabs.
