You are wasting your breath with him. Anyone who is on the forum regularily knows what he is. Why bother?

There are 3 posters on this forum that are worth blocking, especially in the Tow Vehicle section. The troller is one of them.

Dodgeboy, the Blue Oval Koo-Aid King explained it the other day, saying that he once purchased a used 06 RAM 6 speed manual really cheap and had a lot of problems with everything but the tranny. Well if he found a 06 manual really cheap, it must have been beat on, as they sell for a lot more than the 48RE trucks.

Nothing really adds up with him other than pouncing on RAM any chance he gets, while ignoring any Ford warts! You kind of have to hand it to Ford that they have keep some many loyal fans despite the 6.0, 6.4 and now 6.7 problems.

Chris

I am afraid all brands have warts. I have been through all the big three several times over, there are some you just don't want to own again. After the third of one particular brand I just couldn't take it any more, but there are plenty of owners who have had the same with the other 2 brands, and I don't blame them one bit for not wanting one of them as well and venting their frustration over it.

Talking about "Brand Loyalty" could it be that those loyalists are keeping one brand at the top because, they're trying to buy/find one that actually works and drives as advertised?... "military grade" :B:W:p

I'm just having fun... agree with you. :B

No prob . Hey hows the oil patch going over there ? One of my employees got a job on the rigs a couple years back , it was going gangbusters then , but I hear its slowed down now.

The oil patch is just surviving, many projects have been put on the shelves. Estimates of between 15,000 and 20,000 people out of work in Alberta alone. Drilling company buddy said out of his 200 rigs they have 6 working. Looks like maybe late 2016 before there is any improvement. I have had to find other work myself... I tried to be a mouth piece for Ford... they didn't like my suggestions on what Ford could do. :B

Yeah thats not good , but at least you got something else going , best of luck

The manufacture can seek "indemnity" from the supplier, ie, the supplier takes a big hit too.

But like Don said in this particular case RAM gets the black eye and not their supplier.

Macorroni has already turned some heads over at the Chrysler Corp. division, but the Quality Culture hasn't changed. There are methods to improve a quality culture within your manufacturing operation and your suppliers, but it's not easy especially if you already have a bad quality culture within your operations and suppliers.

I don't think people expect perfection from any mass produced vehicle, but there's a tipping point in which these recalls can go too far and customers/potential customers will notice.

Diaz, Bigland, Hegbloom, who's driving the ship? Who's next?

Quality Control is the name of the game even if you have to perform production monitoring of your suppliers.

Yep, and Ford just got an overall low rating for their products. Even the king of the hill Honda had their crown slip a bit down the scale.

Sure Ford doesn't rank at the top, but the latest CR customer survey has RAM third from last and Jeep and Fiat at the bottom of the barrel.

Bought the GM 5.7 diesel in 1979. Yikes, not good. Bought the 6.2 after they told me they had all the bugs worked out. Except for the bad heads that cracked between the valves, injector pump that failed and transmission that failed twice, and the wipers that would turn on by themselves, ac compressor failed - all by 80,000 miles.
I bought a new '88 Ford p/u with a 460 that the dipstick didn't seem right. They had not tightened a spindle nut on the front axle, had a nice rattle over speed bumps.I took it back and asked them to verify proper dipstick and they said it was correct. 5 years later at another dealer I mentioned the dipstick issue (I always used the correct amount of oil and mentally adjusted for oil use) they looked at the dipstick and said it was the wrong one. Had to buy another , but then was correct when changing oil. Of course I also complained of the truck using a quart of oil every 500-600 miles with 60,000 miles on it. The dealer says "Oh we have a service bulletin for that - Ford says it is normal to use a quart as low as every 250 miles".
Pick one and keep your fingers crossed.
