Anybody use a F350 XL for TC?

I am considering trading in my 2012 and just getting a simple XL model 350 DRW for hauling my TC. Have been scouring the web trying to find pictures of some XL Super Duty's being used for TC hauling and coming up short. Just wondering if the argent grille looks tacky beneath the TC, Trying to find a visual representation. Its 600-900 to get one of the XLT up packages to add chrome surround or grille, could be money spent for TC upgrades!!

Personally I like the argent grill and bumper, it looks like a REAL truck. However the chrome grille looks nice too if you have other chrome accessories go for what you like best that is the bottom line.

I wish our truck had the black argent grille on my dark Forest Green 2012 F350 XLT. My wife and I both do not like the bright Chrome Grill and surround.

I found some more pictures of my XL grill with a little more of the red truck showing:

I like my black grill, chrome bumpers and chrome wheels. The truck's color is Green Gem. Yes. It looks black, most of the time. It's an XL, but it has power windows/locks, cruise control, steering wheel mounted radio controls, heated/towing mirrors and cloth seats. I love the plastic floor. If the camper looks goofy on the truck, let me know. I won't care, because I like it, but you're welcome to say so.
The factory, painted Argent steel wheels looked rather unimpressive, although they had chrome center caps. Factory wheels on a dually aren't the prettiest things, either.

Well, IMHO, the argent grille looks good if you have the argent bumper. If you stack the argent grille on the chrome bumper it looks a little off. With the newer style body anyway. At least they don't give the black bezel headlights on the new XL's anymore like they did on the 08-10 series trucks. Man those are FUGLY and their light output is abysmal.

In 2005, the appearance package gave you the better headlights over the stock rectangular bulbs. You can see mine are the better ones in my earlier post.

The hood valence and snow covers up the red truck, but I ordered mine. Like you are finding, most of the XL's come in white. It was the same way with my current Tradesman Ram - I ordered it in brown instead of the common white.

Yea I think the Argent grille looks sharp contrasted with a deep paint color but alas, most XL's are work/fleet trucks and are ordered in oxford white.

I could care less what the bumpers colors are but I would want to make sure my truck has cruise control and cloth seats. I think you have to get the chrome bumpers to get cruise control.

Thank you for the pictures. I hated the argent grille at first but its grown on me. When I was playing around with the Ford calculator, you can choose XL Value for 600 which adds some interior options and gives you a chrome bumper while retaining the argent grille and surround. For 900 you get the XL Appearance package which gives the chrome bumper and chrome surround but still get the argent grille. In order to get the full chrome grille and surround you have to upgrade to at minimum XLT, so having that chrome grille costs some dough!

I think if I saw a tuxedo black crew cab XL on the lot I would buy it but the only color our ford dealership stocks is white on the XL's. There is a very clean 08 Dark Pearl Blue XL DRW w/ 6.8L V10 . I'm eyeballing it hard!

This is a straight-on view of my 2012 XL 350:

I think this is the one in my profile and signature (when it's working), more of an angled view:

In my opinion, the chrome grill looks a lot better, but it doesn't bother me enough to spend money on it. Other than that, I love the vinyl seats and rubber floor due to the ease of cleaning the dog hair out.
