I have an appointment at the Ford Dealership to check out my 2003 Ford F250 V10 with 124K one owner miles. It has been a great truck. Just have to find out
why it dies for no reason. Supposedly they have a Tech with 34 yrs experience. For $60 hopefully he can tell me what's wrong. If I cannot get my V10 repaired I will buy the 2020 XLT with the 6.2L for $40K out the door. Nearly everyone I talk to think my problem is the fuel pump which will cost $800 plus

I nearly bought one two days ago from Elk Grove Ford. The MSRP was $50,480 without the options. I could have bought it for $46,852.38 out the door. My Grand Son is a Homicide Det in Sac Ca and the owner Cole Wood who is the owner of Elk G Ford, sponsors my GS Homicide partner in Race Car. Cole loves Law E and Service People so he more or less sells the cars etc at his costs.
430 HP at 5500 RPM 3,55 axle ratio I decided at my age that I did not need that much truck so decided on a 2020 XLT F250 Ford for $40K OTD

So you bought the 6.2L?
2013 Ram 3500 Megacab DRW Laramie 4x4, 6.7L Cummins, G56, 3.73, Maximum Steel, black lthr, B&W RVK3670 hitch, Retrax, Linex, and a bunch of options incl. cargo camera
2008 Corsair Excella Platinum 34.5 CKTS fifth wheel with winter package & disc brakes

At 75 mph , towing a 7 ft wide X 16 flatbed trailer with a John Deere 1025 r , 12.2 mpg , Most of the time driving around the engine is around 1000 RPM to 2000 RPM, however you get On the throttle and It has no problem dropping a few gears and revving but it wonโ€™t if it doesnโ€™t have to, My other truck is a 4.6 F150, so thereโ€™s no comparison when Iโ€™m towing , however it does remind me of the 6.0 in my 2005 F250 Without all of the 6.0โ€™s problems And no turbo lag , I will be taking the camper out within the next couple of months , anything specific you wanna know just ask, About 3000 to 3500 RPM people has asked while me riding in the truck if I put a Flowmaster on it, stock exhaust is on it but it does have a rumble to it Letting people know there is some cubic inches under the hood
Thanks for the information.

Are those mpg figures measured or dash board readings? Sounds like a very nice truck, congrats.

Go to Ford-trucks.com and look for 2017 + Super Duty Forum and scroll thru many pages of posts about Super Duty's. It's a very active site. There are several reports on the 7.3, towing and not towing. Sorry, I'm not sure how to post a link or I would have done that.
