Thinking of putting a front hitch on my 2009 Silverado as a place to carry the bikes when we travel. I want to stay away from modifying or trimming any part of the front air dam (or other pieces) when I install it.

Has anyone put one of these front hitches on their Silverado? If so, can you give me pictures? Did you have to trim anything to make it fit? If so how much?

Back in my JEEP days it was standard policy to have a front mounted hitch. Helped out big time getting pulled out of a mud hole

They certainly would come in handy launching a boat...

Here is one view from google search (NOT MINE)... This is pretty big box mounted out in front of the truck haha... Even has spotter poles hehe..

Check out ETRAILER.com

Have no idea how legal this might be. Probably as long as front license plate is viewable - go for it...

Excuse me for asking but I have no clue...is it legal?

I saw a bike rack of sorts on a truck once. They were pulled over by the OPP. For what, I have no idea. However, the bikes did seem to sit rather high. They could have been considered as blocking the drivers view, couldn't they?
